Help Peter and the Wolf Continue!

For close to three decades, Drury’s annual free performances of Peter and the Wolf have delighted generations of area children. Indeed, Prokofiev’s cautionary tale has become a much anticipated yearly event for the nearly 4000 third-graders who converge on Drury’s Weiser Gymnasium each February.
However, our cultural landscape has changed with the passing years, and the Drury music and theater departments now support substantially more classes and performances than in the past, leaving both areas stretched for both time and resources. Further, the cost of mounting each year’s production continues to rise, and we are in urgent need of revenue to help fund the orchestra and renovate theatrical props and costumes.
Your tax-deductible donation will help ease these shortfalls and ensure that this long-standing and beloved tradition continues to delight the young and young at heart.

Christopher Koch, D.M.A Director of Orchestra and Wind Symphony, Drury University Music Director, Springfield-Drury Civic Orchestra Music Director, Ensemble 21
