Weiser Gymnasium has served the Drury community well since 1948 but after sixty years, it is time to move on! With seventeen athletic programs plus thousands of students, faculty and staff trying to use this outdated facility; Drury University needs a modern, air-conditioned and ADA accessible venue to host competitive NCAA Division II athletics, tournaments, graduations, concerts, speakers, and events on our campus. A new building will then create an opportunity to refurbish Weiser into a much-needed student recreation facility for our growing population.

The O’Reilly Family Event Center will be a green building design that boasts a 3,100 seat arena, banquet hall, locker rooms, offices, and state-of-the-art CoxHealth Sports Medicine facility. The Drury Sports Hall of Fame and Wall of Champions will grace the interior featuring outstanding teams and Drury alumni who are positive representatives of our institution.
