Good news -- The Drury Communication Department has completed Phase I of updates to the Shewmaker Communication Building. Thanks to the support of communication alumni, parents, and friends, the Shewmaker Conference Room is now a modern meeting room that prepares students for the professional workplace.
With your contribution we can continue renovations in the Shewmaker Communication Building and provide Advertising, Integrated Media, Public Relations and Speech Communication majors with a topnotch learning environment.
Phase II of our renovation plan addresses the need for meeting spaces that enhance teamwork and collaboration among our students. The goal is to add more seating and work areas in the 1
st
floor atrium to support the various group activities that define the educational experience of communication majors. Additionally, the plaza in front of the Shewmaker Communication Building is being transformed into a gathering place for students and faculty, complete with tables, chairs, and benches.We’re eager to provide students with alternative work spaces to the classroom while encouraging more informal interaction between faculty and students.
