Drury Athletics has a long and proud tradition of success both in and out of the classroom. Since joining the Great Lakes Valley Conference in 2005, the Panther squads have routinely been among the league’s perennial favorites, including an incredible ascent to the title by DU’s first-year baseball program in 2007 and a sweep of the men’s and women’s basketball championships in 2008, the first time that feat was accomplished in the 14-team league.
The Panthers are also among the elite in the league’s academic standing, including two winners in three years of the GLVC’s Prestigious Paragon Award for academic/athletic excellence in Drury basketball standouts Amanda Newton (2006) and Molly Carter (2008).
The Drury athletic programs could not establish such lofty standards without the aid of their loyal boosters, whose support helps make it possible for the Panthers to continue their winning ways.
